President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended the opening of the conference, held from March 30 to April 1, 2026.
According to a statement from Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the agreements define the operational and commercial frameworks for the transfer, supply, processing, and liquefaction of Cypriot gas for export, while also regulating the use of Egypt’s gas infrastructure.
These agreements mark the beginning of the development of Cyprus’s natural gas discoveries, utilizing Egypt’s well-established infrastructure.
Egyptian exports to Cyprus saw substantial growth, reaching $193 million in 2024, up from $103 million in 2023.
The joint business council aims to strengthen trilateral cooperation and increase the volume of trade exchange and joint investments.
